Kerecis is an Icelandic-based company with a novel solution for a serious problem. The company’s technology uses fish skin to heal chronic and other hard-to-heal wounds and other tissue damage. The fatty-acid rich products from the company’s patented technologies enable the body to regenerate tissues, rather than simply repair them and risk scarring. Although the product is amazingly effective, the small company faces a competitive market with much larger, more established players.
